Theme Proposal

        The theme i have chosen is health and medicine. This theme is easily the most interesting besides sports. I wanted to do health and medicine because i wanted to challenge my writing but also pick something that would keep my interest. I thought sports would be to easy so the only other choice was health and medicine. My mom is a nurse and she has been pumping health and medicine stuff into my brain for years but i have only recently started really looking at it. The possibility of medical marijuana and how America is one of the most unhealthy places to grow up are the the biggest things i want to explore and write about. I think it would be simple to observe this thing only because i am no stranger to the gym where people go to get in shape and be healthy. I would also like to observe if a healthy diet is really the most important part of having a ripped body because i have several friends that swear that what you eat has nothing to do with it. If i had to pick another subject i would pick sports only because it would be easy to write about personal experiences and observe in everyday life. After that my next interest would probably be food that theme is also pretty easy to write about.

Writer's Autobiography

         I've never really been big into writing but i usually force myself to sit down and handle business. I've been writing probably since third grade but have always dreaded it. I think it was mostly because back in the day my teachers would have page requirements and i would just run dry and run out of things to fill the length requirement. When i got to high school i was worried about writing but a few good teachers help me think in a new light to make it simpler, they discouraged the length requirements which help my confidence in my papers. As of right now writing still isn't my favorite but I'm not as depressed about it as i used to be.

        On the other hand i do enjoy reading whether it be a magazine or a good book. As of late i haven't picked any books but i did put a couple on my list to finish before the movies come out. My favorite thing to read though is comic strips. I pick up the paper every day and aside from the big headlines and sports scores i get down with the comic strips. My favorite one is definitely the boondocks, it's pretty witty and worth reading. This year i hope to put a little more effort into my papers and make them fun to write and interesting to read. Hopefully this class can help.

Background Info

This is just a test post, but i might as well use it to enlighten people about myself. My name is Anthony and I'm one of the most relaxed human beings on the face of the planet. I like sports, video games, and hanging out with my buddies. Some people consider me an asshole but i think there is a difference between an asshole and speaking the truth but that's for you to decide. In my free time i enjoy playing hoops with my friends or lighting up an el with my crew. I work at a supermarket in Westport in the deli so on your way to Horseneck if you stop by you might catch me behind the counter.
